what school was this at? it looked pretty confrontational and high-energy and all, but, god, do can't we some up with some less cliche ways of talking about the issues. denouncing "imperialism" to passer-bys just doesn't seem particularly effective...
I don't know how effective it is, but I think it's pretty important on a college campus to use the word "imperialism," as long as you do more than just that. It might be a tougher sell outside the world of academia though.
I believe the school was San Francisco State University and a couple of students remain in some trouble over the whole confrontation. The Lawyers Guild is representing them of course.
