But judging from this photo from joeskillet, the race itself had its own issues with Israeli checkpoints ...

Hilarious and depressing at the same time.
Especially, if like me, you live in San "Critical Mass" Francisco. We need to hook up a bicycle-activist exchange program: Palestinians would be welcome to run amok in our city and the IDF can teach our own bicycle activists a little humility. :)
